Visiting and
Reservations

  • Yes, reservations are highly recommended, especially for our Truckee location. Because we are an intimate micro-wineries with limited seating, booking ahead ensures we can accommodate you.

    • Special Experiences: For experiences like the Tahoe Elevated Bubble Yurt‍, Winemaker Tours, and Paired Tastings reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

    • Walk-ins: We try to accommodate walk-ins when possible, but availability is not guaranteed.

  • We have two unique locations:

    • Truckee River Winery: 10061 So. River St, Truckee, CA 96161 (Our original location with the Red Barn).

    • 174 Winery: 12535 Colfax Hwy, Cedar Ridge, CA 95945 (Our production facility and farm property). Note: The 174 Winery is currently open to Wine Club members for special events.

    • 174 Winery Tasting Room: 12719 Colfax Hwy Suite 3, Cedar Ridge CA 95945. Coming soon!!

  • Yes! We love our four-legged friends. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome in our outdoor garden and patio areas. We just ask that you be mindful of our other guests and our resident farm animals.

  • Absolutely. We are a family-owned business and welcome families. However, please keep in mind that we are a working winery and farm with equipment and animals (including chickens!), so we ask that children be supervised at all times for their safety.

  • Yes, we offer a selection of small bites to pair with your wine, including cheese and charcuterie boards.

    You are also welcome to bring your own picnic items to enjoy with our wines in our garden area, provided they are self-contained and ready to eat.

    Please note, however, that outside alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises due to licensing regulations.

  • Yes! We offer special options like "Doe/Stag Tablescapes" for celebrations. However, please note that due to the intimate nature of our space, our maximum group size at the Truckee location is 20 people. For groups larger than 6, please use the Large Group Reservation Request section in our online booking module to submit your inquiry.

How does the Wine Club work?

We offer options to suit every wine lover! Our popular Quarterly Allocation Club features releases in March, May, October, and December. We also offer two non-quarterly options: our VIP Membership and our Case Club. Wine selections are chosen by our winemakers, Russ and Katy and all members enjoy discounts on pre-releases, futures and wine club exclusive wines.

Can I pick up my wine club shipment?

Yes! We love seeing our members. Yes! We love seeing our members. You are welcome to pick up your allocation at any of our locations during open hours. If our regular hours don’t work for your schedule, we are happy to coordinate off-hour pickups at both our Truckee and Cedar Ridge locations. Just contact us to arrange it! Alternatively, we can always ship your allocation directly to your door.


Can I skip a shipment?

Yes, we understand that life happens. We allow members to skip quarterly shipments as needed—whether for travel, financial adjustments, or wine preferences. To arrange a skip, simply email us at wineclub@truckeefamilywines.com.

Shipping and
Orders

  • We currently offer flat-rate shipping to California and Nevada and can ship to select other states (please check our online store or contact us to verify).

    • Carriers: We use UPS and GLS (for CA/NV orders) to ensure your wine arrives safely.

    • Requirements: We must ship to a physical address; we cannot deliver wine to P.O. boxes. Because an adult signature (21+) is required upon delivery, we highly recommend shipping to a business address to ensure someone is available to sign.

  • We take the quality of our wine seriously. We always check weather conditions for extreme heat or freezing temperatures before sending shipments out. If the weather poses a risk to the wine, we will hold your order until conditions improve to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

  • Yes. When checking out online, simply select "Pickup" as your shipping method. We will have your order ready for you at the Truckee tasting room during business hours.

  • Yes! We sell both physical and electronic gift cards. They make the perfect gift for wine lovers and can be purchased directly through our SHOP page.

  • We are proud to be served and sold at many local favorites! You can find our wines at retailers like Raley's and Z Marketplace, as well as local restaurants including Bar of America, Pianeta, Moody's, Jax at the Tracks, Old Town Tap, and The Pour House.   • Yes, community is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to donate 10% of proceeds from all wine purchases to local non-profits and charities. Some of the organizations we support include the Tahoe Food Hub, Truckee River Watershed Council, and the High Fives Foundation, among others. When you enjoy our wine, you are also helping to support our local community.
