Reservations are never required—walk-ins are always welcome at both locations! However, reservations are always appreciated, and we gladly take same-day reservations for smaller parties.

• Small Groups: Walk-ins are always welcome, or you can book online in advance (including same-day bookings).

• Large Groups: For parties over 6 at Truckee River Winery or over 10 at 174 Winery Tasting Room, advance booking is required. Please submit an inquiry through the Large Group Reservation Request Area on our Reservations page.

• Special Experiences: Customized group visits and special tasting experiences can be booked directly through our large group request form.

We operate three locations across Truckee and Cedar Ridge, with two dedicated tasting spaces open to the public:

• Truckee River Winery (Tasting & Production): 10061 So. River St, Truckee, CA 96161. Come visit our original Red Barn for tastings, outdoor games, and a look behind the scenes.

• 174 Winery Tasting Room (Tasting Room Only): 12719 Colfax Hwy, Suite 3, Cedar Ridge, CA 95945. Our dedicated Cedar Ridge tasting space, open for tastings and retail sales.

• 174 Winery (Production Only): 12535 Colfax Hwy, Cedar Ridge, CA 95945. Our working farm and production facility. Please note this location is closed for daily visits and is only open for select Wine Club events.

Yes! We love welcoming our four-legged friends. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are invited to relax with you in the outdoor garden and patio spaces at both Truckee River Winery and the 174 Winery Tasting Room.

We simply ask that dogs remain on a leash at all times and stay mindful of other guests and our resident animals.

Yes, absolutely! We are a family-owned business and welcome guests of all ages at both of our tasting locations:

• Truckee River Winery: Kids are welcome to enjoy our outdoor lawn and patio areas. Because this is an open, unfenced working winery and farm environment with equipment and resident animals (including chickens!), children must be closely supervised by an adult at all times for their safety.

• 174 Winery Tasting Room: A relaxed, family-friendly space featuring our indoor tasting room and a shaded, fully fenced patio garden where families are welcome.

Yes! We have food options available to pair with your wine at both locations, and we also welcome outside picnics.

• Truckee River Winery: Offers fresh 2-person or 4-person bento-style cheese and meat boards, plus convenient grab-and-go bites.

• 174 Winery Tasting Room: Features a full tasting menu of artisan cheese and charcuterie boards, savory tapas, and other small bites.

• Bringing Your Own Picnic? Guests at both locations are welcome to bring outside food. We kindly ask that all picnic items be ready to eat, fully self-contained, and accompanied by your own plates and utensils.

Yes, we would love to host your celebration! We offer group reservations during regular tasting hours, as well as expanded event options:

• Truckee River Winery: Accommodates large group reservations for up to 20 guests during regular tasting hours.

• 174 Winery Tasting Room: Accommodates group reservations for up to 30 guests during regular tasting hours. We are also booking holiday parties and special events for groups of up to 50 people!

• Guest of Honor Retreat: Looking to elevate your celebration? Our styled tablescape experience (formerly known as the Doe/Stag Tablescape) is now the Guest of Honor Retreat and is available to book at both locations.
